i Fratelli supports JDRF on June 3

Posted on Posted on

The last week of school is here!  Celebrate with pizza on Monday, June 3 (lunch OR dinner, carry-out OR delivery) and mention the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  You can save some time and breath by just saying JDRF, we’ll know what you mean!  They will receive 15% back on each order when you mention them.

T1D occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.

JDRF is the leader of the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community—unifying global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. Through a transformative vision, breakthrough innovations, and effective operations, JDRF is working to remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D.

On this Memorial Day, May 27, support Metroport Meals on Wheels with your pizza purchase.  Just mention Meals on Wheels when placing your pizza order, or when dining at i Fratelli Ristorante & Wine Bar.  Purchases made anytime between 11 am and 10 pm can count towards the fundraiser total.  See ifratelli.net for a list of our locations throughout DFW.

Metroport Meals On Wheels, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which organizes volunteers to deliver hot lunches to homes of individuals who are elderly, frail, chronically ill or homebound.  Although most program participants receive meals on an on-going basis, MMOW helps during periods when someone needs temporary or short-term assistance.

MMOW operates independently of federal funding and provides services to those in need regardless of ability to pay, serving Denton, Tarrant, and Wise counties.  The support of friends and civic organizations in the community helps make the meal programs available to all who need them.  MMOW is a grassroots organization that has the support of over 600 volunteers.

Pizza for a Cause May 13: Animal Allies of Texas

Posted on Posted on

Order your Pizza for a Cause on Monday, May 13 and mention Animal Allies of Texas (AAT).  They’ll receive 15% back to continue their good works.

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only “adoptable” animals, but “treatable” ones as well – those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about “humanity championed by thought.” AAT relies solely on a dedicated group of volunteers to operate. If you are interested in joining us in any capacity you will find it a rewarding experience.
